Escape the indoors - Join Troop 37

Troop 37 invites you to join our action packed program built around exciting outdoor activities. You will experience the woods in a new way, and learn outdoor skills such as:

  • Camping
  • Hiking
  • Outdoor Cooking
  • Fishing
  • Sailing
  • Snow Sports (Skiing & Boarding)
  • and more…

No prior experience necessary – open to boys ages 10-14 years old or currently in the 5th-8th grades.

Troop meetings are Tuesdays at 7:30, located in Fellowship Hall, 130 Franklin Avenue, Pearl River, NY

Boy Scouts of America Troop 37 has served young men from 5th grade to 18 years of age in Pearl River, New York since 1924. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. during the school year in Fellowship Hall at the United Methodist Church (entrance on John Street near the corner of Franklin Avenue in Pearl River).

We have an active schedule of activities, including camping, hiking, boating, day trips, and community service. In our century of service, 163 members of Troop 37 have become Eagle Scouts, the highest rank in Scouting.

Centennial Celebration

In September 2024, Boy Scout Troop 37 proudly celebrated a century of fostering adventure and camaraderie. Throughout the past hundred years, the troop has been dedicated to providing scouts with enriching experiences that not only build essential life skills but also cultivate enduring friendships.

  • Character Development through Adventures: Troop 37 has consistently focused on providing scouts with enriching and exciting experiences.  Our experiential learning program is designed to foster independence, responsibility, and self-sufficiency. 
  • Lifelong Friendships: Over a century many 100s of scouts have built enduring friendships through their participation in our program.
  • Reflecting on a Century of Service: As Troop 37 commemorates its hundredth anniversary, we celebrate the achievements of individual scouts and highlight the legacy of scouting in our community.
