Get ready for a once-in-a-lifetime celebration as we mark a significant milestone in our scouting journey – Troop 37’s Centennial Celebration! We invite all former and current Troop 37 scouts and family to join us for this historic event on September 14, 2024.

The evening will be more than just a celebration; it will be a tribute to a century of adventure, leadership, and friendships forged in the great outdoors. Anyone who has been a Scout in Troop 37 since 1924 is welcome to our catered Centennial Celebration dinner and ceremony at the Pearl River Methodist Church’s Fellowship Hall (where we have met for decades) starting at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 14.  We especially hope that many of our 163 Eagle Scouts will be able to attend. Your presence will make this event even more special, as we come together to honor the legacy of Troop 37 and envision the exciting future that lies ahead.

Bring your energy, your enthusiasm, and any photos or anecdotes you’d like to share. Together, let’s continue building on the camaraderie that defines Scouting in Troop 37!

Here are some details regarding the Troop 37 Centennial Celebration Banquet:

Reservations and Questions: Please RSVP with our committee chair Kathy Mart by September 5th at one of the following; email :kmart5908@gmail.com or via text/voicemail :(845)-709-1632.  Confirm your intent to attend the Celebration banquet, along with number of family members who will be joining you.  In your message, please inform us the years that you were a member of Troop 37 and the rank you attained. Please send any questions you have regarding the Celebration banquet to our event organizers Hal :haltort@aol.com or John :johnsaeli89@gmail.com.

Cost: The evening banquet will be a catered dinner event. Tickets will cost $30 per person, preferably via personal check payable to Boy Scout Troop 2037 and sent to Kathy at :81 McKenna St. Blauvelt NY 10913 . We ask that all payments be made by September 5th.

Your Assistance: The Centennial Celebration Banquet will be catered. However Troop 37 volunteers will be setting up and breaking down the event on the same day, September 14.  Please let Hal and John know whether you can help us prior to and/or after the event, via email.

 After Party – September 15: The following morning attendees are welcome to join us for breakfast at 8:30 a.m. at the Orangetown Classic Diner, at 512 NY-303, Orangeburg NY. Following breakfast we will meet at the parking lot of nearby Clausland Mountain Park, 33 Clausland Mountain Rd., Orangetown NY. There we will hike a moderately difficult trail to the tunnels and see the vistas of the Hudson Valley from the top of Clausland Mountain. See this website for further info on Clausland Mountain.
